Brady officially retired from the NFL

Tom Brady‘s future beyond the NFL is fully secure. At the age of 45, he has decided to call time on his enormously successful 23-year NFL career, with seven Super Bowl rings, and he will retire as arguably the greatest player in history.

Now, a career in television awaits him with a multi-million-dollar Fox Sports contract that makes for eye-watering reading.

Tom Brady will remain in the game, but as a television analyst, as announced by FOX Sports, after the legendary quarterback decided to stay with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for one more season having retired in 2022.

How much will Tom Brady be paid on FOX Sports?

The contract has a value of around 375 million dollars, according to the New York Post at the time, which is much more valuable than the contracts of other stars such as Tony Romo or Troy Aikman who earn 18 million dollars per season. Brady will take home a mammoth 37.5 million dollars per season.

The length of the contract is for 10 years in which Brady will get the full amount agreed, making him the highest paid television analyst in the NFL.

Fox Corporation executive chairman and CEO Lachlan Murdoch welcomed Brady‘s arrival at his network, having been forced to wait an additional year to complete the deal.

“Over the course of this long-term agreement, Tom will not only commentate on our biggest NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt, but he will also serve as an ambassador for us in a variety of promotional initiatives,” Murdoch declared.

When will Tom Brady start on FOX Sports?

The former Patriots quarterback and the network in charge of broadcasting the Super Bowl in 2023 had an agreement that would begin the moment he announced his retirement, which he did on Wednesday, February 1.

However, both the network and the former NFL player did not disclose whether he will be in the broadcast booth at State Farm Stadium in Glendale Arizona for Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

As reported by The Athletic, Fox Sports has refused to reveal what plans it will have for Super Bowl Sunday in its broadcast booth, but for now the Burkhardt-Olsen duo remain in place.

Although this Brady announcement could change their plans and there is no better way to start a partnership than with the biggest game in the sport, which Brady himself is an expert on having won it seven times.
