McCaffrey recently visited his high school, Valor Christian High School in Colorado, where the NFL star was honored in a ceremony retiring his number 5 jersey-an event that officially immortalized him.

Alongside the honor of having his jersey retired, McCaffrey was joined by his wife, Olivia Culpo. The wife of the 49ers running back shared the emotional moment on Instagram, revealing that she was “crying the whole time.” According to her, the emotions were heightened, partly due to hormonal changes from her pregnancy.

The heartfelt tribute, combined with reliving the great moments McCaffrey had at Valor Christian High School, made it a truly unforgettable occasion. Christian racked up 141 touchdowns and 8,845 total yards during his high school career. Notably, he won the Gatorade Football Player of the Year award in both 2012 and 2013.
