Travis Kelce‘s ex girlfriend, social-media influencer Kayla Nicole, has clapped back at people who have told her to ‘get over’ her relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs star that ended three years ago.

Nicole and Kelce dated from 2017 through 2022 and did not hide their relationship from the public eye.

Now, Kelce is dating Taylor Swift, with the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer bringing a new stratosphere of attention to all things involving the tight end, including his previous relationships, with Nicole being the most prominent former romance.

Nicole spoke out on the ‘Second Wind’ podcast about her past relationships but did not address Kelce by name.

‘People will always say, “Get over it”, which is so interesting,’ Nicole said. ‘And to them I’d say, “You too.”‘

‘… Life handed me lemons and I made a lemon martini out of it and that upsets people.’

Nicole added that sharing her story and past break-up has been her ‘super power’ and helped her be more authentic with her fans.

‘It’s a chapter in my story and in a lot of ways I think it was a catalyst to a lot of great change and motivation and self-help in my life,’ Nicole continued. ‘I started going to therapy because of what I went through, and I think that drastically changed the way I navigated the world.’

‘I’m honestly thankful for every obstacle I’ve gone through in my life. It has made me who I am. And if you take away all the hurtful or the sad moments in my life, I wouldn’t be Kayla.’

Nicole also did not mention Swift by name, with some believing it is good for her brand to stay in the orbit of the 14-time Grammy Award winner and Kelce.

However, Nicole did state she is looking forward to when she is not referred to ‘so-and-so’s ex’ in the media.

Due to the high profiles of Swift and Kelce, that should be tougher said than done for the influencer.
