Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown appeared to take offense to a direct message that his ex-quarterback, Tom Brady, sent to him.

The wideout has lobbed a number of attacks toward Brady in the past, but he’s also had a few positive interactions with the quarterback.

Recently, Brady sent him a trio of messages on Instagram. But it appears Brown didn’t receive them well, as he shared a screen shot on his X account.

Brady said, ‘Love how you are working’ in his first message before following up with a plea: ‘Please don’t miss your psychologist appointments.’

Brady concluded with three states that Brown has worked on or could improve: ‘PHYSICAL – you have mastered and it is easy for you to work hard  MENTAL – you are very smart and you know the game  EMOTIONAL – we all need to work on this. We are emotional beings. You need to work equally as hard here!’

Brown shared the screenshot with a caption, ‘Please don’t miss Psychologist appointments…. WTF.’

But Brown screenshotted the message and posted it to X, all while appearing to be mad

A number of comments appeared to defend Brady, advising Brown to heed his advice.

‘Real friends give you the hard truth. Listen to the man, he’s not sugarcoating it,’ read one reply.

Another said, ‘Again. Tom was your biggest fan and was giving you advice on how to be your best. Not a pats fan but wtf is wrong with you bro.’

‘You should have listened to the one guy who was willing to give you a second chance and go to bat for you,’ said another user.

Another pointed out, ‘This makes Tom Brady look really good and you look really bad.’

‘Damn. Tom really is a great human being,’ said another comment. ‘Not sure what you’re trying to do here, AB. Everytime you post something about Tom is [sic] just solidifies how much of a good person he is and how much of an idiot you are lmfao..’

Brown and Brady were briefly teammates on the New England Patriots before re-uniting at Tampa Bay and winning a Super Bowl title.

But the two haven’t been on good terms after Brown threw a tantrum during a game against the New York Jets where he went berserk on the sidelines and stripped almost all of his gear off.

Brady allegedly sent a text to Brown after that incident, saying ‘You are demonstrating very poor decisions and poor communication to so many people who have gone above and beyond to help you.’

Since then, Brown launched a number of shots at Brady – including accusations of him being a bad father and invoking the quarterback’s ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen.

On a recent livestream with Adin Ross, Brown was asked again about his ‘entanglement’ with Bundchen.

Brown struggled to hold in his laughter and then responded, ‘I already skipped that one.’

While it was an awkward end to the subject, it comes after Brown apologized to Brady on social media last year.

Brown shared a phone call he had with Brady on his X account – wherein he offered an apology to the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

‘You helped me succeed. You came and got me in the dirt, champ. Helped me be a champion. Helped me be a part of greatness, witness you be so great as a leader and as a person. I never took those things for granted, man,’ said the former WR.

He added, ‘I couldn’t live on without letting you know that as a man. I got nothing but the utmost respect for you, and I’m asking for your forgiveness.’

Brady has never publicly addressed Brown’s comments.
