As Prince Harry nears his 40th birthday he is looking back on his life and a possible reconciliation with his brother Prince William, a former adviser said.

Prince William may not want his younger brother, Prince Harry, to attend his Coronation as the pair’s relationship remains frosty, sources have claimed.

The relationship with William is still icy, and it has been alleged that the pair haven’t spoken since the Queen’s funeral in September 2022.

Harry and Meghan Markle reached out to Princess Kate and William after King Charles’ cancer diagnosis but it has been claimed there was no contact back.

It’s believed that William is unlikely to forgive his younger brother for digs he made about Kate in his memoir, Spare, including suggestions she wasn’t so welcoming to his wife Meghan.

But those close to the future King say Harry isn’t at the forefront of his mind, with his focus this year being on his wife, children, and father.

In the aftermath of the King’s Coronation last year, William let it be known that he wanted his own crowning to “look and feel different” – with one major difference possibly being the absence of his brother, according to a new report published by the Sunday Times.

Friends of William have claimed that, as things stand, he would not want his brother at his Coronation, whenever that time comes.

One of the brothers’ closest friends told The Sunday Times: “They are estranged, which is dreadfully sad.”

Tensions between the brothers have been simmering ever since Harry and Meghan broke away from the Firm four years ago, and moved to California as non-working members of the Royal Family.

The move has only served to sour Harry’s relationship with William further, with several reports of tensions, arguments and altercations between them both.

However, an insider who previously worked with the Duke, said: “All he does is spend time looking back. If only he could wrench his neck around and look forwards.”
