Express.co.uk readers have not taken kindly to Meghan Markle’s new cooking series, and many have vowed not to watch it.

Meghan Markle is set for a major disappointment as fans express their lack of excitement for her new Netflix series, which will air on January 15.

‘With Love, Meghan’, which the 43-year-old revealed last week, will focus on culinary delights with her celebrity friends.

Both Meghan and Netflix released the trailer for the eight-part series on January 2, just hours after Meghan’s surprise return to Instagram.

However, with nine days to go, fans have already expressed their disinterest in the series – with some listing off things that they’d “rather do” instead of watching the show.

In a poll conducted by Express.co.uk, which ran from 11.10am on January 3 until 7.15am on January 6, fans were asked whether they were excited for the upcoming series.

Of the 9,720 votes collected, a staggering 98 percent [9,489 votes] shared that they were not excited to watch Meghan’s new show.

In contrast, just two percent of those who voted [201 votes] said they are excited to engage in Meghan’s latest project. In addition, and unsure of their feelings, the option of ‘don’t know’ also collected 30 votes.

Taking to the comment section, many fans suggested that they’d rather do many other things than watch With Love, Meghan.

One commented wrote: “I’d rather watch paint dry”, whilst another added: “I would rather stick pins in my eyes or sit & watch paint dry.”

A third commenter wrote: “Rather watch paint dry thanks.”

Cleatly stated how they voted, another commented: “Won’t be watching it never mind any excitement about it. Yawn.”

The reveal of Meghan’s new series came just hours after Meghan returned to Instagram with her first reel on her new account, @meghan. The reel showed Meghan running across a beach, which is said to be close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s home in California, and writing ‘2025’ in the wet sand.
