A sensational new biography claims to have weighed in on what the late Queen really thought about Donald Trump – including her feelings on his marriage.

A sensational new biography has revealed that the late Queen Elizabeth found Donald Trump “very rude.”

The book by Craig Brown claims that the beloved sovereign also “particularly disliked” the way the former US president would look over her shoulder as if “in search of others more interesting” during their conversations.

And the bombshells don’t end there – with the new tome claiming that Queen Elizabeth II was also uncertain about the strength of his relationship with his wife Melania – saying she thought they had “some sort of arrangement,” reports MailOnline.

Mr Brown’s new book – A Voyage Around The Queen – is currently being serialised in the Daily Mail.

The author claims the conversations occurred at a lunch “weeks after” one of Mr Trump’s two visits hosted by the late Queen.

Mr Brown writes: “A few weeks after President Trump’s visit, for instance, she confided in one lunch guest that she found him ‘very rude’: she particularly disliked the way he couldn’t stop looking over her shoulder, as though in search of others more interesting.

“She also believed President Trump ‘must have some sort of arrangement’ with his wife Melania, or else why would she have remained married to him?

“For his part, Donald Trump was confident he had been her favourite guest ever. ‘There are those that say they have never seen the Queen have a better time, a more animated time,’ he later told America’s Fox News.”

Express.co.uk has approached Buckingham Palace for comment.

However, this negative take on Mr Trump’s meetings with Queen Elizabeth is quite different to other reports.

The former US leader met the Queen as part of a working visit to the UK in 2018 and during a three-day state visit in 2019.

During his second meeting with Her Majesty, Mr Trump was “terribly excited” to meet the monarch, who thought he “behaved very well”, according to royal historian Hugo Vickers.

The expert, who knew the late Queen personally, discussed some of the highlights of her reign with Express.co.uk which were covered in a 2022 report.

He said: “I understand that she greatly enjoyed her meeting with [President Donald] Trump.

“And when he went to tea with her at Windsor Castle, she kept him there for an extra 10 or 15 minutes.

“She may just have been amused by him, but he would have been terribly excited to see her.

“But I do think that especially the second visit, the state visit, I understand from people who know her that she thought he behaved really very well and actually it was all a great success.”

Mr Trump is currently seeking re-election as President.
