Dallas rapper Yella Beezy’s request to modify his bond to be able to attend his child’s football games was denied by a county judge last week, according to court documents.

Beezy, whose real name is Markies Deandre Conway, is out on bail after being charged last month with capital murder for remuneration in relation to the 2020 shooting death of fellow Dallas rapper Melvin Noble, known as MO3.

Conway is accused of hiring a hitman, Kewon White, to carry out the attack, which occurred on Interstate 35E in broad daylight. Conway and Noble were allegedly feuding, although the two had denied any conflict.

Conway’s legal team filed a motion last Tuesday to amend the conditions of his bond, which currently restrict him to house arrest with an electronic monitor. He has also had to surrender his passport.

His lawyers sought permission for him to temporarily leave his residence for the sporting events.

“This request is sought to allow Defendant to be present for a meaningful family event, which is in the best interests of the child and will support continued family engagement and stability,” the lawyers wrote in the document.

Judge Chika Anyiam, of Criminal District Court 7 in Dallas County, denied the request on Wednesday, public records show.

John F. Gussio III, a lawyer for Conway, told The Dallas Morning News on Monday he and his co-counsel, Toby Shook, had no comment on the decision. Anyiam could not be immediately reached for comment.

No trial date in Conway’s case has been publicly announced.

The rapper returned to social media early last week to promote the release of his first single, “My Head,” since his legal woes began.

He alludes to his faith in the song, which begins with a gospel sample. An accompanying music video shows his hair with a cross braided into it.

Conway raps about mental distress and turmoil on the track, saying he is “trapped in the thoughts” in his head. “It’s just me and myself in these f—ing four walls,” he also says.
