Ahead of the Season 1 premiere on April 28, NBC Insider sat down with Martha and José on set to learn more about what they’re cooking up and if any special guests might pop up on the show…

Will Snoop Dogg be on Yes, Chef! with Martha Stewart? She says…

“We have zipped mouths,” Stewart joked, keeping any possible guest appearances under wraps when asked if any familiar faces would be showing up.

Grammy-winning rapper Snoop Dogg was a special correspondent for the 2024 Paris Olympics on NBC and previously was a coach on The Voice. He and Martha became fast friends after Snoop appeared as a guest on The Martha Stewart Show in 2008 and appeared in the 2015 Justin Bieber comedy roast special. Later, the pair even hosted their own cooking show together, Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.

With so much history together on and off screen, fans may be wondering when we’ll see them together again. Martha told us that figuring out their next joint project is a favorite pastime for the pair.

“It’s seeing what next we can do,” Stewart said. “We’re already talking two years hence. We’ve had … quite a good time working with each other on various projects, and he’s fun and he’s smart and he is a curious creature.”

Though she stayed mum on whether Snoop will make a guest appearance on Yes, Chef!, Martha did share one thing she’s learned about her dear friend.

“Oh, by the way, he’s not a cook,” Martha said, smiling. “But he is a really good creator.”

José asserted that Yes, Chef! doesn’t really have a need for cameos, given Martha’s magnetic appeal.

“I mean, you have Martha Stewart on this show,” José said, beaming. “Who else do you want? She’s the host and the judge. We don’t need any other cameos.”

Yes, Chef! premieres on NBC on Monday, April 28, at 10/9c following The Voice.
