Filming Underway on Highly Anticipated Second Series of ITV Thriller After the Flood
London, 3 January 2026 – Cameras are rolling once again in Greater Manchester and Derbyshire as production begins on the second series of ITV’s gripping mystery thriller After the Flood. The six-part drama, produced by Manchester-based Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios) with BritBox International as co-production partners, promises more high-stakes tension, natural disasters, and dark secrets in the fictional town of Waterside.
Created and written by BAFTA-nominated Mick Ford, the series was recommissioned following the success of its debut season in 2024, which drew praise for its blend of environmental catastrophe and police procedural. ITV’s Drama Commissioner Huw Kennair-Jones, who oversees the project, hailed it as a standout in the channel’s slate.
