Good news for fans still reeling from the jaw-dropping finale of The Lincoln Lawyer season 3: Netflix’s legal drama is gearing up for its highly anticipated fourth season. After a seemingly routine traffic stop turned deadly for Mickey Haller, viewers are left wondering how the next chapter will unfold.
Co-showrunner Ted Humphrey recently told Tudum, “This is going to be the biggest and most personal challenge Mickey has ever faced, and also the biggest roller coaster we’ve yet taken our audience on.”
Here’s everything you need to know about The Lincoln Lawyer season 4, from plot teasers to cast updates.
Season 3 Recap & The Cliffhanger
Season 3 ended with a shocking twist. After Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) wins the Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye) case, he’s pulled over by an L.A. police officer for a missing license plate. The situation escalates quickly when the officer discovers a suspicious liquid dripping from the trunk—and opens it to find the con man Sam Scales (Christopher Thornton) shot dead inside.
Garcia-Rulfo described the cliffhanger to Tudum: “You’re expecting the season to end with Mickey saying goodbye to his friends and driving off and then—boom. It’s a dead body in the trunk.”
What to Expect in Season 4
While official plot details remain under wraps, Humphrey told Tudum that Mickey’s fate “certainly plays out across the whole season in the form of his trial.” The season premiere will reveal the “broad strokes of what specifically has happened and what charges—and adversaries—Mickey is facing.”
Returning Cast & New Faces
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo returns as Mickey Haller, joined by series regulars Becki Newton (Lorna Crane), Jazz Raycole (Izzy Letts), Angus Sampson (Cisco Wojciechowski), and Neve Campbell (Maggie McPherson).
Several new cast members are confirmed, including:
Constance Zimmer as Dana Berg, aka “Death Row Dana,” a ruthless prosecutor and Maggie’s former colleague.
Kyle Richards as Celeste Baker, a Beverly Hills woman seeking a divorce lawyer.
Scott Lawrence as former prosecutor Judge Stone.
Other newcomers include Jason Butler Harner, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jason O’Mara, and Javon Johnson.
