Kendrick Lamar is being called out by fellow Los Angeles rapper Dody6 â who he featured on GNX â for what he says is not checking in on him.
Dody began a rant on social media on Monday (April 21), first revealing that heâd lost his home.
âN-gga I lost my house. Iâm homeless. On Crip, I admit that shit,â he said. âI fell down. Iâma bounce back up though, watch this. Itâs all good, cuh.â
Later in the video, he responded to people thinking he should be better off because of his feature on GNXâs âhey now.â
âN-gga that fucking song with Kendrick ainât change shit. What the fuck does that change n-gga?â he questioned. âIâm still from 40s. Iâm still over here. You act like a n-gga got a million dollars for that shit. The fuck? Only thing a n-gga got is some clout and fuck clout!â
Adam22 then shared a text he received from Dody, which was quite alarming.
He first texted Adam, âPost that shit now. Why you not answering?â
When Adam told him he was busy and to just let him know what to tell people, Dody then said, âBro post Iâm on meth. Idgaf. Post Dody is on meth and say k dot is a bitch ainât tapping in.â
In more positive news, Kendrick Lamar has made perhaps his biggest move in the fashion industry yet by becoming an official brand ambassador for Chanel.
The Compton rap star, who has previously collaborated with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Nike and Converse, has been announced as the face of the luxury fashion houseâs eyewear division.
In a statement ahead of the campaignâs rollout this week, Kendrick said: âChanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind. Since they donât make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses,â per The Business of Fashion.
Chanel fashion president Bruno Pavlovsky added: âWe strongly believe in eyewear and its potential. More than a simple fashion accessory, eyewear is part of the Chanel allure and is regularly seen on the runway. Its versatile style, playing with the house codes, brings a finishing touch to the silhouette.
While little is known about the campaign, it is believed to have been shot by acclaimed photographer Karim Sadli.
