Jelly Roll Reveals His Goal Weight — and the Wild, Risky Adventures He’s Planning Once He Reaches It!

Jelly Roll has already lost nearly 200 pounds, but he’s still continuing with his weight loss journey.

During a Thursday, April 24 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 40-year-old musician, born Jason Bradley DeFord, joked that he had “lost an entire Jimmy Kimmel” when discussing his health.

However, he told the late-night host that he wanted to keep going until he weighed 250 pounds.

“For the non-fluffy people in the world, I would give y’all some educational course here — to do all the fun stuff in life, you’ve got to be under 250,” he explained. “I want to skydive, I want to ride a roller coaster. I want to ride a bull.”

He continued, saying, “I know it sounds crazy. I want to wrestle an alligator. I’ve got a list of things that I want to do.”

Kimmel was surprised by his post-weight-loss goals, saying, “So let me get this straight: You do all this hard work and you have all this discipline losing all this weight, and then you want to do something that will potentially kill you?”

However, Jelly Roll was not to be deterred. “Ain’t that great?!” he replied.

“Listen, I was waiting on the heart disease to do it so I might as well get it off and run straight into it the other way,” he joked.

Apparently, that was enough to change Kimmel’s perception. He shared a proposal: “Have you ever considered wrestling the alligator while you skydive?”

“That’ll be my plus-one,” the musician joked.

Jelly Roll also clarified what he has been doing to achieve his body transformation. The plan is much simpler than some might think.

“Dude, listen. I’ve been thinking about ways to make it sound cool, but I can’t. I’m eating a lot of protein and vegetables and walking. That’s what I’m doing,” he admitted.

The country music star started his fitness journey in 2022 when he weighed 550 pounds. He lost 70 pounds while training to run a 5K, which he completed in May 2024. Jelly Roll is already training to run another 5K, and he launched his “judgment-free” group — “Jelly Roll’s Losers Run Club” — to help others follow in his footsteps.

On top of his big adventures, the hitmaker has another plan that he’d like to achieve by March 2026: covering Men’s Health magazine.

That’s my new goal. I wanna have one of the biggest transformations,” he said during a December 2024 appearance on the Dumb Blonde Podcast.
